Although it's tempting, you can't just read someone's opinion of what the top rated GPS units are then go out and buy that specific unit and be happy with your purchase. Well, I guess you can buy whatever unit Consumer Reports or CNET or whoever recommends, but your happiness with your purchase is more of a personal issue. And it's just that personal side of things that I want to talk about.

Okay, just for the record, a little earlier this year Consumer Reports gave the Garmin nuvi 760 their best overall system rating. They also mentioned the Garmin nuvi 660, Tom Tom GO 920T, the Garmin nuvi 350, and the Magellan Maestro 4250 as receiving very high scores.

I agree entirely! All of these systems are great! And it's interesting that the units Consumer Reports picked all come from the three big manufacturers of GPS units.

Just so you know, Garmin has about 50% of the market share, Tom Tom about 20% and Magellan slightly less than 20%. That's 90%! The rest of the 10% is fought over by the little guys. Personally, I like the big three. I see no reason to buy anything else. But again, that's just a personal opinion.

As far as Garmin's three GPS units in Consumer Report's report, the nuvi 350 sells for about $200, the 660 for about $330, and the 760 for about $370. The difference between the three?

Well the 350 is an ever so slightly older model. It has that flip up antenna thing that bothers some people, but frankly doesn't bother me at all. The 350 has maps of the U.S. plus Canada. It can tell you where to turn by actually saying the street name (a big feature in my mind). The only drawback is its 3.5-inch screen.

If you want the larger screen, you'll have to opt for the 660. Which also adds hands-free calling with Bluetooth and the ability to route its transmissions through your car's stereo system. The only thing the 760 adds is multi-point routing. In other words, you can select several destinations and the device can tell you how to get to all of them on one trip.

As far as the Tom Tom GO 920T, there you're looking at a little over $400. It can do everything the nuvi 660 can, but it also has Tom Tom's proprietary map share technology, which is sort of user-generated thing where you can actually send Tom Tom information about road closings, construction, etc. and they'll reflect that on their maps.

Don't forget the Magellan 4250! As a close competitor to Gamin's 660 and the GO 920T, the 4250 sells for only about $280! Don't think this is a cheaply made unit, either. Magellan was one of the forerunners in this field, and they make a quality product.

So, you see even if you're just focusing on the top rated GPS units, there's a lot to choose from and quite a lot to know about your choices.

What will make things easier is an informative website where you can browse models and check out current prices. There you can look at all the top rated GPS units and find the best one for you and your budget.

Do you know if your car or motorcycle has a carburetor? Or, perhaps you are trying to figure out how in the world you are going to fix whatever is wrong with yours. The truth is that a little knowledge never hurt anyone. So, lets take a closer look at what the carburetor is and what it does. You may not even have one to deal with! But, if you do, here are some facts to help you along your learning way about carburetors.

What Is The Carburetor?

The carburetor is a device on the engine of a car or other vehicle that mixes fuel with air. These are featured on internal combustion type engines. In most cases, the carburetor is no longer used though. Most cars now use fuel injection as opposed to the use of a carburetor. Nevertheless, the carburetor is still used on many small type engines and in older or specialized vehicles. Cars built after the decade of the 1980s, no longer use a carburetor, but use an electronic, computerized fuel injector instead. In many cases, the motorcycle still used a carburetor.

In most cases, engines that use carburetors only use one. But, in high performance vehicles and those with more than four cylinders, there may be more than one carburetor used. But, how does the carburetor actually work?

Have you ever heard of Bernoullis principle? It says that moving air has a lower pressure than air that is still. That means that the faster the air moves, the lower the pressure will be. The throttle controls the amount of air that is allowed into the carburetor as opposed to the amount of fuel that is used. The vacuum that is created by the carburetor is what draws in more fuel into the carburetor and allows for faster flows of air.

When it comes to repair work that is done on the carburetor, it is necessary to learn not only what is wrong with it but also what is needed to repair it and why that is. When you understand how the carburetor works, you can get a better idea of what is needed to repair it. And, you will need to consult a professional if the task is beyond you because not repairing the carburetor correctly can and does lead to more serious problems with the engine down the toad.

Manufactures Of Carburetors

There are several different manufacturers out there. Most are specialized in where they serve, who they serve or in the exact type of device they make and sell. If you are looking for a manufacturer, consider these.

Ford Motor Companys manufacturer of carburetors is Autolite. Japanese automobiles are often equipped with Hitachi, Ltd, Keihin, or Mikuni carburetors General Motors vehicles feature Rochester Carburetor. UK motorcycle carburetors are usually Amal Ltd.

A Dual Sport Motorcycle is basically a street legal dirt bike that can be ridden on the highway and also on trails. Often referred to as Enduros or Street Legal Off Road Bikes, they can be a lot of fun even for the more advanced dirt rider.

The benefits of such a motorcycle are:

1. Not having to transport your motorcycle to an off road trail with a pickup or a trailer.

2. Versatility of highway and off road transportation in one bike.

3. Economic savings when used for your every day commuting needs (50 %u2013 75 mpg).

4. Legal and insurable recreation and transportation combined.

There are two ways you can obtain a dual sport bike.

1. Purchase a factory made street legal dirt bike. These are sold as Dual Sport Bikes, in the past they were called Enduros.

You have the advantages of the bike being in compliance with all highway vehicle laws, and a design that gives a little more comfort for the rider.

The disadvantage to this is a tamed down bike that is a bit heavier and sluggish when compared to a factory designed dirt machine.

2. Purchase a dirt bike and make the needed conversions to make it a street legal machine.

The disadvantage to this approach is the effort and money needed to ad a legal lighting system, registration and others accessories required by the department of motor vehicles. There are kits that can be purchased to accomplish this but they are model specific and will not fit all applications.

The advantage to this approach is a customized machine and if you%u2019re careful you will maintain most of the bikes power and agility.

Which ever path you choose you will not be disappointed. A street legal dirt bike is not only fun but also very useful!

MOTORCYCLE - GOLD WING Weathervane

This is a real working weathervane. They are all made with pride by a small family business located in the US.

You have seen them, the people with the really shiny and great looking bike. You have always wondered how you can get a great looking bike kike that. The answer is simple, Chrome.

When you decide that you want your own motorcycle, you may not have the funds to go with a chrome body or even any chrome motorcycle parts as all. That's ok, because now you can add them to that drab looking bike.

A great option for adding chrome motorcycle parts to your ride is to take some of the accent pieces on your bike and simply buy them in a chrome finish. This will be an easy way to get a great looking bike without having to put out a tone of money in the end. You can add that great looking shine to the motorcycle and have it done in a weekend, if you want to. So it really is an easy thing to add.

If you are into really having a chrome finish on your motorcycle parts, then you may need to think about having the parts dipped. This can be done once the motorcycle has been stripped and the parts are ready to go. This may not be as easy as it sounds but if you are willing to take the time to work on it, you will have a great looking finish on your motorcycle.

Having your motorcycle parts dipped in the chrome finish is really a great way to get your bike to have that great shine. You should be careful because you may end up spending more money then you thought you would in the end. It will add up fast because of the cost of the chrome finish on your motorcycle parts so be careful when you go this route.

Putting chrome on your bike can be a hard thing to do but with the right motorcycle parts and the right chrome finish, it will look great. You will have a great and interesting ride when you go out for the first time because of the change in your bikes apparent and maybe even the way that you are probably driving it. You may get a new sense of pride from your bikes new look and that will change the way the you will end up driving it around the area that you live in or on your long trip.

Welcome to part 2 of my series about the different modifications that are available for the Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle. It seems like every time I turn around I find something new that can be done to my FZ6. In Part 1 of this series I discussed the aftermarket possibilities of upgraded exhaust, windscreens, and seats. In Part 2 I will give an overview of the options available for new grips, levers, and rear sets. In contrast to a powertrain modification, these are mostly aesthetic and comfort rather than performance enhancements. Let's get to it.

* Grips - There are a couple of reasons to consider getting new grips for the Yamaha FZ6. One reason is comfort. Some find that the grips on the FZ6 are too small and not comfortable enough for long rides. Increasing the size of the grips, for some, increases their comfort and puts less strain on the hands and wrist. In addition, there are grips that contain gel which will, for obvious reasons, increase grip comfort. Another reason to consider new grips is for their aesthetic value. The grips that come stock with the FZ6 are black and very nondescript. Many grips are available that have bright colors and logos that display brand loyalty among other things. Being one of the least expensive modifications, this would be a good one to consider if it is of any interest to you at all.

* Levers - The levers that come on the Yamaha FZ6 are pretty standard and similar to what you'd see on any other stock motorcycle. They are long, silver, and have a larger ball-looking end on them. They are fine for what they were designed for, but there is something to be gained by switching to after-market levers.. The same two reasons for replacing grips applies to levers. Changing grips can provide a comfort enhancement as well as an aesthetic enhancement. Additionally, though, some levers provide some added convenience features that make them easier to adjust than stock. Many after-market levers are a bit shorter than the stock versions and allow the use of two or three fingers for shifting and braking without the extra length of the lever pinching the remaining fingers. As riders get more advanced and confident with shifting and braking, shorter levers can be much more comfortable and easy to use. Aesthetically speaking, after-market levers are available in a variety of colors and styles that can be used to highlight or contrast the bike's color and design. Lastly, many levers come now with the ability to adjust lever position on-the-fly to account for brake fade and clutch adjustments. This can be a great help as compared with the stock levers that require more work to make the same adjustments. Some levers also include the ability to "fold" the levers near their pivot points. This can certainly come in handy if excessive pressure is applied to the ends of the levers. Rather than breaking something more critical, the lever simply "folds" up.

* Rearsets - Rearsets make up the rider's footpegs, shifting lever, and rear brake lever. I haven't seen as much about rearsets for the Yamaha FZ6 as I have other modifications, but they are out there and worth mentioning. Some of the reasons for replacing the rearsets are similar to the other modifications I've mentioned. There is comfort/usability and aesthetics. After-market rearsets typically have the ability to be adjusted forward, backward, up, and down. This is a definite advantage when seeking additional comfort and improved riding position. In addition to adjustability, after-market rearsets are typically of higher quality than original equipment. Many note that the shifting is much crisper and cleaner feeling, and braking is also more positive. Some drawbacks are that many rearset pegs are fixed, and therefore will not fold up in case of a crash, or anything catching on it. This could be detrimental to the mechanisms attached to the pegs if the force on them is great enough. Some rearsets that I really like the looks of are the Rizoma rearsets (pictured). One thing to note, though, is that they're built for the European FZ6 which doesn't have a built-in center stand like the U.S. version, and they interfere with each other. Slight modification is necessary to get them to fit properly.

Stay tuned to my Yamaha FZ6 Modifications to Consider series. We still have a number of items to cover:

* FE kit
* Mirrors
* Turn signals
* Brake lines
* Brake pads
* Frame Sliders
* Air Filter

If you're someone who is looking to begin driving but don't have the money to get the car then you'll need to get a loan. Typically most people will try going to a bank to receive a loan, but if you have bad credit then it can be really difficult to find a loan from one. Also sometimes they will only offer you a very high interest loan which although is better then not getting a loan, you can always find better.

One of the increasingly popular methods of finding auto loans is through the internet, due to many companies now moving into the industry. With many young people looking for car loans the market is huge and now many companies are starting to offer loans for people with good or bad credit. If you want to start looking for a loan online then you'll need to make sure you do the research. It will take more then a few days to find an auto loan because you need to make sure that you're getting a good deal.

There are tons of good deals but there are also some horrible deals on the internet for auto loans which is why I recommend you do your research. You should make sure there is a low interest rate but also make sure that there aren't any small print clauses because often companies will charge hidden fees that if you don't research the company enough you wouldn't notice the fee until after you've signed and gotten your first bill, which at this point is too late to get out of the loan.

The market for people buying cars online is also on the rise with millions of cars now being bought online. I feel this is another reason why auto loans are becoming increasingly popular with people because if there buying the car online, why not get the financing online as well. I think as more cars get sold on the internet, more loans will be sought after online as well.

The ability to do all you're shopping and financing online is an amazing thing and many people are now taking advantage of this. Ten years ago not many people knew what the internet was but now billions of people are using the internet worldwide. Cars are very hot on the internet right now with many of the online auction sites offering car sections. You can find a great deal on your auto loan online but you need to do the shopping around in order to ensure you find the best deal.

There are tones of benefits as to why you should get an online auto loan including the fact that it's completely free process, very quick and you can do it in your own home on your own time. Even if you have bad credit you'll still be eligible to possibly receive an online auto loan from some of the companies. It's also very secure now to send personal details over the internet and it's basically the same as you would do it in real life.

While driving on the road it is easy to tell that a motorcycle is the most dangerous vehicle around. Therefore, when it comes to getting insurance to cover your motorcycle, it can be hard to find.

Every individual on a motorcycle is always at high risk, and this is something companies do not want to deal with. Because of this risk you will be paying more when you find a company that will insure you and your bike.

Getting insurance on a car is an easy step. There are numerous companies that offer a variety of plans to help individuals save as much money as possible. However, the number of companies that are willing to insure motorcycles are not nearly as high. Considering the harm that motorcycles can do, this is quite understandable.

When driving a motorcycle there are many risks you are taking. First of all, not being in an enclosed space makes accidents with motorcycles a lot more serious. It becomes much easier for the drivers of these vehicles to get seriously injured and/or die.

Any small mistake on a motorcycle can cause an accident, so it is very important to always be cautious. Because getting in an accident on a motorcycle is easily done, you are not only putting yourself in harm's way but also others who are driving around you. These are factors that insurance companies keep in mind, and why their rates might be high while insuring you.

Rather then being offended at the high insurance rates you may have to pay, you should understand the risk you are putting yourself and others under. It is a good idea to have a clear driving record when trying to get motorcycle insurance.

If an insurance company sees that you have been a reckless driver, with one or two accidents, it is possible they will not even give you a plan. In order to receive a reasonable price it is important to always be a good driver. This holds true for interest rates on loans. Improving your credit and reducing debt can help in many areas.

If you would like to receive a discount to lower your insurance rates, you can take motorcycle driving courses. This will help insurance companies know that you are experienced and know what you are doing with the vehicle.

Once you receive your insurance, remember to keep your card with you in case of an emergency. When all is said and done and you have a motorcycle insurance plan you are happy with, remember to always be a responsible driver.

One way to get a lower insurance rate is by being a good driver. One factor in getting a lower interest rate is by consolidating debt or reducing debt before you ever start the loan process. Visit http://www.everlife.com/debt-consolidation-loans.php for to learn more.

35/35 watt 12 volt RP-11 P15d Base #6235Y A5677 Motorcycle / Snowmobile Miniature Eiko Light Bulb

Are bad credit motorcycle loans possible? This is a question I am asked over and over again, whether it is just meeting a person on the street or though e-mail from a person that found my motorcycle financing website. Well the short answer is yes bad credit motorcycle loans are totally possible even if you have a bankruptcy on your credit report. However, there are certain things you need to consider before looking for a bad credit cycle loans because you can be taken advantage of just because you have poor credit.

First off understand that over and over again in the world of motorcycle loans, I see cycle buyers with bad credit tend to focus more on desperation for getting approved for motorcycle financing rather than making a good decision for there financial future. As a result, when the typical motorcycle buyer with poor credit is approved they are often stuck with hefty fees, and backend products that leave them paying much more for their motorcycle than they should.

If you have bad credit and need a motorcycle loan, the best advice I can give you is do not let someone tell you that you have to pay document fees, extended protection, Gap insurance or other add on products to get approved. Sure you may have to sacrifice for a higher interest rate on your bad credit motorcycle loan, but you do not have to get taken to the cleaners with a bunch of other fees.

It is the above reasons that it is important to try to sometimes go straight to the lender and find a lender that will finance bad credit motorcycle loans. I am not going to tell you that it is easy to get approved like if you had good credit but if you work a bit you can find motorcycle lenders specializing in bad credit. Here are some options you may want to consider.

1. Online Motorcycle Lenders: The nice thing about working with online motorcycle lenders is that you are going directly to the lender and there is no middle man involved with placing you in a loan that may put you in a bad situation. Going directly to the lender for bad credit motorcycle loans is always better in my opinion because the lender does not want to place you in a loan you will default on. On the other hand, going through a middle man you will find the middle man will want to place you in a situation where they will make the most money which could be a very bad loan for you.

2. Credit Union: Your local credit union may buy bad credit motorcycle loan more often than the average loan at a dealer because the credit union only has a small percentage of its overall loan portfolio in bad credit motorcycle loans. This allows them to control losses a bit better than a dealer because they have other thinks finance not just motorcycles. So they may approve bad credit motorcycle loans a dealer will not touch.

3. Personal Loans: Many people with poor credit tend to many times go for personal loans. I only recommend this option as a last resort, but I would much rather a bad credit applicant get the credit straight before getting a personal loan. The reason being is personal loans typically have very negative terms for motorcycle buyers and they can sometimes have interest rates in the 30% range. This is not a good situation for a motorcycle buyer.

4. Local Banks: Sometimes local banks can be an option for finding bad credit motorcycle loans, but typically they are stricter than Credit Unions. So check with your online motorcycle lender or credit union before going to a local bank. But similar to a credit union, local banks probably do not have a ton of their loans in motorcycles so this helps you chances of getting approved sometimes. Many times the less experience a bank has with motorcycle loans the better for you because they can sometimes evaluate bad credit motorcycle loans the same way as a car loan which typically is much more lenient.

So in a nutshell, if you are looking for bad credit motorcycle financing it is totally possible. It will require you to do a little more research than the typical person with good credit, but your efforts will be well worth it when you are riding your new motorcycle. The best thing for you to consider is not getting frustrated if one lender turns you down, because there is definitely a bad credit motorcycle loan out there waiting for you. You just have to start online or at your local credit union to get going in the right direction to financing your motorcycle.

Accent Spinner, Sm Motorcycle, Flame

Accent Sp Sm Motorcycle Flame

In our review of the Bajaj Pulsar 220cc, it has come in close competition with the Hero Honda Karizma R 225cc, but I can say that it tried to win but did not. The main point to be noted is that the Pulsar 220 DTS Fi did not have a great brand ambassador as its competition had, perhaps Bajaj should have spent a little more money on developing the brand image compared to the time and money invested in the technology and design.

Pulsar 150 is a great hit, I agree, but it does not mean that its flagship model, the high end bike should go by the same name and only differ by 3 number. Imagine what if Karizma was name CBZ 223, does not sound that good right?

Pulsar 220cc is a great bike in itself, with manly broad rear tires, sporty looks, high displacement engine, digital console in the dash board. The main noticeable feature of the bike is the rear view mirror which are designed as in foreign sports bikes.

People have reported that the mileage comes around 30 kmpl. But people investing so much in such a bike would not care much about mileage, they will fill the tank when it gets empty and I don't think they will be doing calculations!

Bajaj Pulsar 220cc DTS Fi is a great buy if and only if you do not like Karizma for some reason. Karizma was the first one to set trends in India in terms of digital consoles, alloy wheels and sport front, it is still the best bike in India. Comparing the two bikes, Karizma wins in terms of quality, looks, performance and pride of ownership.

Every state has a variety of regulations for motorcycles. Some states have ways of coming up with partial responsibility for accidents, others do not. Some demand the wearing of helmets while others leave the choice up to riders. Equipment maintenance and inspection regulations vary, as well. No matter where you are, in the event of a motorcycle accident it is worth your time to seek out a lawyer who specializes in motorcycle statutes.

While some accident victims try to slough their way through the sea of red tape on their own, it is not always the wisest course of action following an accident. For one thing, there is a limit to the time in which you can file a claim, and if you miss it, you cannot do anything. For another, employing a motorcycle lawyer statistically increases the chance of a higher settlement. Face it, lawyers understand the system. They know the tactics insurance companies and fellow lawyers use to bypass successful settlements. For instance, it is not unusual for them to use mistaken prejudices against motorcyclists when settling a case.

Motorcycle lawyers are also well versed in these cases and know more grounds for asking for higher settlements. You may just be looking to pay for doctor bills and motorcycle repairs. An experienced lawyer, however, will seek damages for things you may never have imagined, like loss of future wage earning capacity and pain and suffering. You could struggle with insurance companies for months with little success and a lot of run around, but a lawyer with a 98.7% settlement success rate is going to handle the matter efficiently! That confidence is backed by a promise that no fees are due until a settlement is achieved.

Why add to your misery after a California motorcycle accident? Instead of slogging through the settlement process yourself, why not hand matters over to a professional? You worry about healing-and getting that bike back on the road! Leave the insurance and legal hassles to a top notch motorcycle lawyer.

The United States of America, as a federation of fifty states, delegates powers to each of the states to enact laws for governance. The legislature of each state can enact laws to protect citizens, control law and order, and manage the economy and other aspects of governance. Hence, laws can vary from state to state.

Michigan, with its thirteen countries and a population of 10 million, enacts laws through the legislature. It protects its citizens from injuries caused by another party, defective products, or animals.

In the Michigan law, personal injury is defined as a physical, mental or psychological injury caused by another party. Personal injury cases are governed by tort laws. According to the Michigan Judicial Institute Handbook of legal terms, a tort is defined as an injury or wrong committed against the person or property of another, arising out of violation of a duty established by law rather than by contract. The keyword in establishing the case for personal injury is negligence in regards to a rule, procedure or a standard of code.

Personal injuries can be caused by auto accidents, birth injuries, dog bites, medical malpractice, product liability, on-the-job mishaps and more. Lawyers who are licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan by the state Bar of Michigan are allowed to take cases related to personal injury.

It should also be kept in mind that not all law firms and lawyers take personal injury cases. Among those who do, some restrict themselves to niche areas like medical malpractice. These lawyers take up the case with the objective to get maximum compensation for the injured.

There are cases where the lawyers have obtained millions of dollars for the injured from the defendants, usually, insurance companies or product manufacturing companies. The testimonies and credentials of lawyers can be obtained from the state bar of Michigan, from the websites of the respective law firms.

I have friends in the UK who recently passed on some information to me.

They were sharing with me how much they have to pay for gas at the pump, wait for it, gas is well over $11.00 per gallon and diesel, which a great number of their cars run on is currently well over $12.00 per gallon!

It makes you wonder just how high the prices will go on gas prices in North America. Could we follow suit? Where will these escalating gas prices end up? Every week they seem to rising ever higher and higher, and every time they rise, little by little it's eating a bigger and bigger hole in not just my finances but your finances too.

Consider this, if you drive a car, any car or truck, whatever and it does 20mpg, now think about all those little journey's you do every week, how many miles a week do all of those journey's, those errands add up to? Then ask yourself how much all of these journey's and/or errands were costing you 12 months ago, 6 months ago, 3 months ago, 1 month ago and little by little you have no doubt seen a pattern emerging as each passing month has been eating quietly into your overall finances.

How many cars do you own in your family? One? Two? Three or more? Just how much are all of these journey's costing you month on month?

Are you getting worried about keeping up with your bills, or your mortgage payments? Are you planning ahead? Have you worked out yet that in 6 months from now, if things carry on the way they are, that these escalating gas prices will be putting on your shoulders ever more extra worry as you struggle to meet all of your financial commitments? It's worrying isn't it?

What are You going to do about? Are you going to sweep the problem under the carpet, hoping that the problem will go away, or are you going to take some sensible action now, to start seriously saving some money and making your dollar work for you, whilst you still have a chance to do so?

Ask yourself this question. If there was a way to getting up to 100mpg, wouldn't it be prudent right now to start seriously considering such an option?

I'm not suggesting that I can save you money left right and center, but just thinking about all those little journeys and errands, well, the miles soon add up don't they? For example, let's pick a figure out of thin air. How about 200 miles per week, does this sound reasonable? Now divide 200 miles weekly by 20mpg, that's 10 gallons of gas per week and then times this by the amount that you are paying at the pump for your gas in your area. This will give you, on just one vehicle your weekly spend, outlay on gas that you are paying. If you have two cars, you can double this etc. Then times the figure by 4 weeks to get your monthly spend. It's quite a bit isn't it?

So, how does one get up to 100mpg, thereby at the end of the month saving yourselves a considerable amount of money that could be put towards much more important things?

Now, ok, I/we realize that this solution is not for everyone, but for a lot of you, surely it is worth seriously looking at and considering, especially now that the summer months are upon us with plenty of fine weather.

Have you ever thought about buying either a new or used gas powered moped or scooter? Now don't laugh the idea off straightaway, out of hand, have a think about this first, before throwing the idea away. We are talking about your precious finances here after all.

Modern mopeds and scooters today have come along a very long way in recent years. Not only are they very reliable, they're stylish too and most of them return absolutely astonishing miles per gallon, you will literally be blown away when you realize just how much money you could be saving per month.

Many mopeds and scooters are very nippy, achieving really quite sensible turns of speed, they're excellent modes of transport in heavily congested areas, dodging all the traffic jams and hold ups, lots of them have good carrying capacity with room to spare for your shopping or small parcels, boxes etc. For simply going to friends, they are absolutely idea and never again will you be stuck for trying to find a parking place very close to where you need to be.

It may well be that you still want to make a style statement and you feel that the design of many modern mopeds and scooters lacks some imagination, but that shouldn't stop you either. If this applies to you, have a think about buying a retro Vespa or a Lambretta or similar. There's no reason why you shouldn't still be able to look cool touring around town or city on your new mode of transport.

The best thing of all about these machines though is the sheer very high number of miles per gallon that you will be able to get from them. If you are worried about these escalating high prices for gas and you cannot see any light on the horizon any time soon, have a good think about it and I think you'll soon come to your senses, realizing just what a great option this could give you in terms of saving some serious amounts of cash. Notice that I said 'option'. No one is saying to you to give up altogether your automobile, that would be just plain silly, but for certain journeys, a moped or scooter could just be the answer to your prayers.

Isn't it about time you started to think more carefully about all your options to save money to spend on more important things like keeping your mortgage payments going? Buying a moped or scooter might just be your best option.

You may know that you need certain motorcycle parts for your bike. You just may not get how you are supposed to pick out the good ones from the bad ones. What should you look for? Who's reliable?

When you are starting your search for your motorcycle parts you may figure that everyone everywhere has the same kind of parts and that you can just go down the street and pick them up. That's the last thing that you really want to do.

When you go to a parts store for your motorcycle parts, you may think that the cheapest one is going to be the best for you. That can be true, but often times it's really not. You need to consider a couple of other things as well. Ask if there is a warranty on the motorcycle part that you need. You may have to pay more for it, but it's worth it in the long run if something happens with the motorcycle part that you bought.

Another thing to look for is what extras may be with it. The warranty is one of the most important things but you should also know what other things may come with the part that you pick. Does it come with a gasket or are you going to have to buy it separately? This can make the price more than what you may have initially thought when you started purchasing your motorcycle parts.

You can also get used motorcycle parts, but you will not have any kind of warranty that says that they will keep working or even work in the first place for you. This makes it a little iffy on whether you should purchase them, even if the price is right.

You really just need to take the time to look for the right motorcycle parts for what you are doing and you need to understand the questions that you should be asking before you buy them. This will help you to get the right part for your needs as well as getting it done right the first time. If you get a good quality motorcycle part for your bike, you won't have to change it out later. You want to have fun when you are riding your bike, not worry about the motorcycle parts that you put on it last week and whether they are going to stay in working condition.

When you were a kid you watched all those great T.V. Shows like Batman and other Show that you may have watched. You might be surprised to know that some of these cars are still around and you might be able to get them for yourself.

TV cars are not really a new thing. There are many people that have or know where to get a TV car. You can also have your own piece of the small screen if you are willing to go looking for the auto parts that you may need for your creation.

When it comes to TV cars, you can go one of two ways. You can build your own car or you can pay the money to have one of the original ones. Whatever way you go, you should be ready to pay out the nose for some of your auto parts.

If you decide that you are going to build your own car, you will have to do a few different things. The first thing that you will really have to do is find the car that will be the base of your TV car. Some of these cars are easier to get than others so it really depends on what kind of TV car you plan to build. If you are working towards a Knight Rider car, you will need a basic Firebird body and then you will need to be ready to spend the money on the auto parts that need to be changed on the inside of the car.

If you decide that you are just going to buy a TV car, then you should be ready to spend some money on the car. These cars normally go for a very high price and are hard to get for normal everyday Joes.

There are many ways that you can have that TV car if you are willing to spend the money on the auto parts that you are going to need for it. You just have to look for what one you are going to build or buy and save your money for that special car. There are many people that love a certain TV car and never take a chance to build it. Don't let this be you. Get out there and get started on the TV car of your dreams so you can wow your friends and family!

Like many of us, I'm big on going places but short on money for a brand new big car and all the gas money to go along with it. Plus, with the outrageous gas prices out there now who even wants to invest in a new car right now? All we hear about now is people going out to buy smaller and smaller cars, and ironically these smaller cars still cost as much if not more money than their bigger gas guzzling brethren. So what is one supposed to do?

Or in my situation what is a recent college graduate without much cash supposed to do in this situation? Yes, I want to pay less for transportation and gas. But I don't want to be stuck on horrible public transportation for the rest of my life! So here comes to sensible solution, a moped gas scooter. I've always had dreams of scooting down the Italian Riviera in a classy cream color moped. The ocean breeze in my face, my hands wrapped in fine Italian leather gloves, steering my light-weight gas powered dream around the smooth road's curves. Mind you, I live in the United States, and when I walked into my local car dealership and saw a moped gas scooter on the lot I was hooked.

Not only was it the moped of my Italian Riviera dreams, off white-colored with brown leather seats, but there are two reasons to get a moped gas scooter that are really beneficial. For one, they cost a lot less than a new car, including the price of gas in the long run. And also, they're a lot more environmentally friendly. They release far less environmentally harmful waste into the air. Looking at the snappy new moped in the dealership, it seemed like a win-win situation for me, the recent grad short on cash while wanting to be stylish, and of course helping to save the environment.

Really though, in today's economy and gas situation it's a real sensible solution to battle some of the toughest problems that we're facing today. It still gives you the independence you need at a price that you'll love.

Choosing the parts that your custom chopper will be made of can be very confusing, considering the large numbers of custom chopper bike kits available on the market today. Chopper innovators like Bikers Choice, Phantom Cycle, Paul Yaffe and many more sell chopper-in-a-box kits available for chopper enthusiasts. Thanks to these kits, custom choppers have become quite affordable and are no longer necessarily toys for millionaires or master mechanics.

Custom chopper kits provide the future chopper owner with all the instructions and just about every component necessary to create a perfect chopper of ones dreams. Jesse James, famous for his Discovery series Monster Garage, offers a Big Book catalogue loaded with individual parts and accessories needed to create a fully custom bike with truly unusual frame configurations and groundbreaking metal sheet parts as seen on his TV show. However, the most exquisite details, such as an unusual tortoiseshell finish of the gas tank, can be obtained in your custom chopper only if you have your chopper built from scratch by Jesse himself.

Before you start building your custom chopper you need to ask yourself what kind of chopper are you interested in building. Then you have to set up a budget for parts, labor and inevitable cost overruns. The price of the parts has scared many chopper enthusiasts from building a custom chopper of their own, but if you have exact specifications and the time and skills to invest into the project, then parts can be fairly inexpensive. If you choose the parts for your kit at the lower end spectrum, you will still end up with bike that will look like a Jesse James creation but will still have enough money left to throw a party when your new chopper leaves the garage.

When you select the parts for your custom chopper kit, try to use the most genuine parts available on the market within your price range. Sometimes even if you have a beautiful design in-mind, you can end up with poor-looking chopper, due to a lack of attention to detail by different suppliers

Complete custom chopper kits typically consists of an engine, chassis kit, exhaust pipes, tires, steel tanks and other metal parts, taillights, various controls, a seat, headlamp and many more. The extras supplied with a chopper kit would vary depending on the brand of chopper chosen. To finish your project, you will need paint and sometimes battery acid. Most chopper kits do not provide mirrors, speedometers or other accessories. These you can buy separately according to your taste.

To avoid unpredictable result, experienced chopper builder recommend waiting until you can afford buying all the accessories from one manufacturer. Waiting may not be easy when it comes to building your dream come true. But when you finally complete your custom chopper, you will be really glad you waited.

HY-KO HONDA MOTORCYCLE KEY BLANK

"HY-KO" HONDA MOTORCYCLE KEY BLANK EZ#HD57 UPC coded 10 pieces per bag

With over a billion plus population, the bike industry in India has seen spectacular growth in the last decade and continues to move from strength to strength. Motorbikes in India encompass a major portion of the Indian two-wheeler industry. This huge growth in the bike segment is purely attributed to two important factors, namely disposable income and availability of cheap financial services. With changing market dynamics, bikes have slowly started replacing the scooter and mopeds. Consuming a large share in the Indian two-wheeler industry, bikes have come to represent style and class for many Indian men and a few women as well.

Some Indian companies like Hero Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Bajaj have ardent followers throughout the country. The launch of the Bajaj Pulsar DTSi was a class in itself. It was largely responsible for changing the image of Bajaj as a 'scooter maker'. Hero Honda is said to be the number one bike manufacturer in the world followed closely by its Indian counterpart Bajaj India.

However there are a few bike enthusiasts who prefer imported bikes. High-performance super bikes like the Suzuki Hayabusa and Kawasaki Ninja have a huge fan following on Indian roads. While a Suzuki Zeus, Hero Honda Karizma and Honda Unicorn may have their loyal fans, these high-speed super bikes are for those with a zeal for speed.

With a steady and constant growth in the economy many people are turning to bikes. Even people who own cars are purchasing bikes as they move quickly in and out of traffic. Many Indian middle class families are now able to afford a two-wheeler due to it being economical, safe, fuel-efficient and cost effective. Bike manufacturers in India are constantly competing against each other to launch the next classy bike. By introducing special technologies and innovative features, they are slowly eating into the bike industry in India, leaving very little room for a scooter or moped to manoeuvre. With the coming of the 4-stroke engine into India, bikes have become more fuel efficient thus increasing their market potential even further.

The young generation of India prefers bikes to cars. Due to imported bikes being expensive, bike enthusiasts resort to cheap alterations to their bikes. Bike modification is the latest craze among the Indian youth. Some of the common alterations include increasing the rear tyre size, adding shock absorbers and even changing the entire body of the bike, leaving just the engine intact. Bright paint jobs and snazzy colours make the bike and its owner stand out in a crowd anytime.

With the decrease in duties and taxes, cheap consumer loans and convenience as compared to the public transit system, the motorcycle industry in India promises to keep continuing to cater to the ever changing needs of the Indian people.

Youngsters and teens often replace cars in India with bikes India Bike enthusiasts can search for the best bikes on computers and laptops. Check out some important resources on laptop India

Boating is a recreation enjoyed by many and most people purchase boats for other recreations such as fishing or just lounging around the lake on a hot summer day; however, the recreation of boating is not immediately fun and games. You must also take responsibility for your boat and protect yourself and others, by purchasing an insurance policy for your boat.

Insurance companies vary when it come to the kinds of coverage they offer with their difference types of insurance policies, whether you are purchasing an insurance policy for your car or your boat. Because of these variations, shopping for an insurance policy for anything can be a very confusing process. When it comes to boats, though, there are four basic coverage options you should consider when you start browsing and shopping for the different insurance policies available for your boat, regardless of the variations,

Look for an insurance company that offers you an insurance policy for your boat that

Covers property damages to your boat. Maybe your boat becomes vandalized and covered in graffiti. Maybe your mast gets struck by lightening. Make sure your boats insurance policy covers these repairs.

Provides liability coverage in the event that your boat causes damage due to your negligent operation and/or ownership.

Covers the medical costs of anyone injured on your boat, or because of your boat.

Offers uninsured coverage in the even that you, your passengers, and/or your boat sustain damages from another boat that is not insured.

Remember, just because you use your boat for recreation and enjoyment does not mean that accidents will not happen. Whether your boat provides family recreation or a personal getaway, make sure to purchase an insurance policy for your boat that will cover all four of the above situations before you hit the water; that way, you can enjoy yourself knowing you and your boat are protected after you set sail.

Sometimes whether we like it or not, while driving at night we have to deal with car drivers who have been drinking. Some of them are really drunk and can't barely to stay on the road. And if you ever see or deal with these kinds of drivers, you better pull over and get of the way. Memorize their plat license number and contact the cops, to stop these drivers. While other drivers may a little bit under the influence even they've been drinking, but don't be mistaken, they're as deadly as the drunken one.

Drinking and driving under alcohol influence can reduce people's night vision. People who have been drinking won't be able to see as good as we are, so we need to be really visible. And remember this fact: one of the five car drivers after 9 PM is at least a little bit drunk. And after midnight there will be two out of five! And as people get older, so do their visions. So if you're 26 now, you have lost half of your night vision you had when you're 13. When you reach 39, you have lost three quarter of it when you had when you're 13. The point is that, older people can't see as well in the night as young people can. And that's why you need to help drivers out by using good lights and reflectors.

Here are some riding tips to use when you're driving at night;

1. Don't ever look directly to the headlights. If you do, you'll be blink in a time and lost your vision. So avoid direct view to the headlights.
2. Don't assume anyone seeing you. Cause they maybe drunk or have a bad view.
3. Always ready with your brakes or pull a quick turn if you see anyone heading your way.
4. Pay extra attention to cars that coming towards you and cars on side streets. Either can be dangerous.
5. On clear and well lit roads, always make sure that you check your mirror every now and then. Who knows, sneaks up a good rider.
6. On dark roads, watch your shadows if you sees car comes up from your rear. If the car move left to pass, then your shadows will move right. But if your shadow stays in front of you, then watch out! The car behind is coming right at you.
7. Use extra caution while riding on dark high speed roads. Avoid one if you have too. That's where the Florida's cyclist gets killed!

One of the best places to purchase nearly new motorcycles with low mileage at a price as much as 90% off MSRP is an auction. Often, brand-name motorcycles (including sports bikes such as Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, but also many choppers such as Harley-Davidson and others) become state or bank property when their owners are unable to pay debts, and have to be sold fast to avoid substantial storage and maintenance costs. Because of this it is sometimes possible to buy quality repo vehicles as much as 80-90% off retail price.

However, purchasing a motorcycle at an auction is an investition which should be treated with appropriate care. This is especially true if you are an inexperienced and/or first-time buyer. While the sums involved are usually far less than what you would pay at a dealer, it can happen that after an intense bidding contest the final price (including premium etc) can actually exceed the bike's real market value.

In order to help first-time buyers, I have put together the top 10 things to look out for when purchasing a repo motorcycle at an auction below.

10) Inform yourself in detail about the makes and models of the motorcycles you are looking for. Wikipedia and various car sites have detailed profiles and technical data on most bikes on the market, as well as lists of common defects to look out for.

9) When eyeing a particular bike, take a good look at the maintenance history. Regular mechanical checkups should have been made. Pay particular attention to mileage, damage and accident history, any paint jobs. Be sure to ask for the number of prior owners. Several prior owners are likely to indicate prior problems with the bike.

8) Ask owners of the model you're looking for for common defects and issues with their bikes. Even if you don't know anyone who owns the model personally, it is easily done at bike forums on the internet.

7) If you find a good candidate, it's time for a thorough visual inspection. Be sure to check the paint (any scratches, irregularities, signs of subsequent paint jobs or rust?), tires (walk around and kick/feel them a little/measure the profile), pedals (should not look too used). Make sure that the electronic equipment works (lights, blinkers, etc).

6) Have the engine started and check how well it's running. Any irregularities in the sound? Blue smoke from the exhaust pipe (oil, can mean that the engine is worn)? Oil leaks? All of those are warning signs.

5) When purchasing a repo vehicle at an auction, always start by observing. Attend the preview (usually held a while before the auction, and open to the general public). Stay cool during the auction, and decide what you want to bid beforehand. Never get into a bidding war, it's a surefire way to
buyer's remorse.

4) Beware of any claims that sound too good to be true. At an auction, odds are they are just that - not true. Liability for a seller at a public auction is relatively low, and two powerful words - "AS IS" - basically free the seller of any responsibility. It is up to you to pinpoint them on essential statements and be wary of any outrageous promises.

3) Should you win the bid, insist on a written contract, and ask that all important figures and claims are mentioned (e.g. about prior owners or repairs, mileage, etc). Don't forget that the price you will pay is usually higher than the winning bid. Most auctions include a 5-10% buyer's premium.

2) Look at the VIN (vehicle identification number) plates and make sure they have not been altered. If they look like they have been changed, do not buy the bike.

1) Do not be too hasty. Looking at some auctioned repo motorcycles, you may get the feeling of a once-in-a-lifetime bargain, but in fact the market is pretty large and great opportunities are around all the time. It is best to observe a few auctions first to get a feel of the process, and only actively start bidding once you have a good idea of the market.

There are several large databases of auctioned repo motorcycles and other vehicles online. One of the largest is http://www.motorcyclestateauctions.com, with unlimited access for a one-time fee of $19.95.

BRITISH people have learned the lessons of summer safety. New research from a leading UK firm shows that Brits are taking care to avoid potential accidents when driving, holding a barbecue or playing on the beach.

The evidence, says National Accident Helpline, shows the true nature of Britain's culture.

National Accident Helpline legal director John Campbell said that most Britons realised that they couldn't and shouldn't make spurious compensation claims.

The findings stand in sharp contrast to some of the crazier claims heard in America - where for example Roy L Pearson Jr filed asked for $67m in compensation from a dry cleaner he claimed lost his trousers.

He later reduced his demand to $54m - but was accused of 'frivolous litigation'.

Mr Campbell said: "If Mr Pearson had called National Accident Helpline, we could have advised him at no cost to the taxpayer that his accident claim did not stand a chance.

"Many of the myths of 'compensation culture' come from this kind of story crossing the Atlantic and finding their way into British folklore.

"Like everyone else, we have a laugh at the sheer absurdity of some of the claims - but we don't feel this should put people genuinely hurt in an accident that was not their fault from receiving appropriate compensation.

"Most Britons, as our research shows, are careful and sensible with what they do - and they deserve their employers, government and private firms to take the same care."

National Accident Helpline asked more than 100 people their attitudes to activities traditionally associated with risky behaviour.

But they found that in summer 2008, 89 per cent of people decided against using lighter fluid or petrol to light their barbecue.

Around 99 per cent stopped swimming at the beach if they had anything to drink at all - while 96 per cent of people would change out of their flip flops and into sensible shoes before getting behind the wheel of a car to make sure they didn't risk an accident.

Five stupid compensation claims.....only in America

1. Roy L Pearson Jr - in 2007 Pearson Jr filed for $67m compensation after claiming a dry cleaner lost his trousers.

2. In 2006, Allen Ray Heckard, then 51, filed for compensation on the basis that he had been told he looked a lot like basketball star Michael Jordan, which he claimed was distressing. His demands? A mere $52 million "for defamation and permanent injury" $364 million in "punitive damage for emotional pain and suffering", plus the SAME amount from Nike co-founder Phil Knight, equalling a grand total of $832 million. He dropped the case after discussions with Nike's lawyers.

3. The same year, a woman called Marcy Meckler tried to sue a shopping centre for $50,000 after she was 'attacked' in its grounds by a squirrel. She claimed that the owners of the shopping centre should have warned her that squirrels live outside.

4. Christopher Roller filed a claim for 10 per cent of the earnings of magicians David Blaine and David Copperfield unless they reveal their secrets to him. He thought that would add up to around $52m. He claimed the magicians stole his 'Godly powers' for themselves.

5. In 2005 Rhonda Nicholls said that a 'wild bird' attacked her as she walked outside a Home Depot store. She demanded 'at least' $100,000 from the store. The court threw out her claim.

The National Accident Helpline are specialists in no win no fee. Helping victims of accidents make accident claims, and getting them the maximum reward following their compensation claims.

At the turn of the new millennium a new obsession invaded everyday American culture. This fad was custom bike building. Shows such as American Chopper and Monster garage became huge hits and Jesse James (the custom bike builder, not the outlaw) and Paul Teutul Senior became household names. Everyone was now a custom motorcycle fan and dreamed of riding around on a modified Harley Davidson that was customized by some top name designer. I, like the rest of the country was swept up in Chopper mania.

Custom motorcycle fans have been around a lot longer than just a few years ago however, and will no doubt still be around when the fad finally disappears from the collective public consciousness altogether.

The idea of building custom bikes began after world war two when the veterans came back and found the huge, clunky motorcycles put out by the Harley Davidson and Indian companies unsatisfying. They began to "chop" off the fenders and remove anything deemed unnecessary in order to make the bike faster and more streamlined. Soon thereafter these customized choppers started to become popular.

The movie, Easy Rider, thrust the idea of the customized chopper onto the public consciousness and the custom motorcycle fan base began to grow. Pretty soon, designers began to take over the domain of the backyard mechanic turning the art of motorcycle customization into a big business. Custom motorcycle fans no longer needed to chop up and individualize their own bikes. They could instead, go to a top name designer and get a unique bike built to their specifications.

Then, cable television caught on to this growing trend and launched a series of extremely popular television shows that featured people building these customized bikes. These shows initiated a bandwagon effect and soon everyone in Hollywood became a custom bike enthusiast over night. Talk shows were booked and motorcycles rallies started to turn into large family oriented events.

But, who are the true custom motorcycle fans? The television shows soon got old and people began tuning out. Hollywood celebrities quite bugging Jesse James for their very own Custom bike and the multitude of custom chop shops that had opened overnight to cash in on the latest craze soon began shutting down. Custom motorcycle fans were no longer found on every street corner, but they exist still. Now that the fad has past, true fans of the custom motorcycle trend can now enjoy their obsession in peace. Bike Rallies are still being held across the country and demo shows featuring the latest bikes built by the industry's top designers still draw huge number of crowds. Sure, the Teutuls are no longer riding their latest creations into football stadiums to the cheers of thousands of fans, but they are still building bikes.
